Production update - 7-19-2007

As I attempt to evolve with Newgrounds, I've decided to let you into my studio (figuratively) and let you know what I've been up to. And believe me, I'm always up to a LOT!

At the moment, most of my energy is centered on a "Hazard" sister-song. It is the first sister song I've ever done. It will be Trip Hop like Hazard was and it will continue with the same themes and I'm thinking about reintroducing *drumroll* the shitty mic!! Might, might not. We'll see what works best. No title for this one yet, but the lyrics are written out... most of them. As with "Hazard", I will be taking no prisoners. This song is also about a person I hate (the same one) and I'm going to lay the smack down.

My other major project is a collaboration with Audio Portal regular Bamsukka, or Kevin Johnson. He has given me a juicey piece of guitar/ambient goodness, and I'm trying to figure out how to make it even tastier. It's starting to sound like it's going to be the calmest, slowest, and most ambient song I've ever done, not to mention my first guitar collab in... 2 years?

I have 8 or 9 other projects collecting dust, too, but they're not even skeletons yet. More info on them as they evolve. Thanks for keeping me motivated, NG fans.

I'm really looking forward to that ambient collab. Sounds really awesome! By the way, have you tried using really, really deep and slow bass in that song. Try it out, if it fits, it's gonna be gold! :D

I actually have thought of doing that! I haven't implemented it yet, cause I need to find just the right synth/sound, but yeah. We think alike :) It's sounding smooth so far.

I have tons of music in the portal to show ya what I'm made of :) But yes, the two songs I'm working on now are probably the best I've ever made. So far. I usually don't finish a song unless it's the best I've made so far.

I'm listening to Dewy Embers right now, and I love it. It's very calming and peaceful.

Haha, I wanted to use all of the features of the NG blog, including pictures :) I'll try to stick a drawing on all of my posts from now on. Glad you're enjoying Dewy Embers. My collab is sounding even chiller than that song! Really pushing hard on this trip hop song though. It should be coming soon. It has been named Pandemic...

I've actually tried it with the shitty mic and I'm not sure if it works as well as it did in Hazard. Going to try a few more things, but I think it's time to buy a professional mic. Everything but the vocals are done though.
