Dude, seriously, if you keep putting up quality the way you have we'll be able to put out a collaborative EP by the end of the year! A lot of your tunes scream "remix!" I already told you I'm going to remix Chemical Love; I have a solid idea down, but it won't get finished as quickly as the last one. (My stupid job and its fourteen hour work days are to blame for that, but one must pay for college, some how) I was going through some of your other tunes and I think a funky mnml remix of Hotel AC is in order. I also checked out your Youtube vids and I think a dnb remix of Revival (Newport Mix) is warrented, but to do that I would need you to rebounce the song at 90 bpm... if you want me to remix it, that is :P Maybe you would like to see how Chemical Love turns out before you green-light any more remixes... who knows; maybe the Dewy Embers remix was a fluke! :P
I saw that you are an Ableton-Live-man! Now do you use that for DJing only? or is that your compositional medium as well? I bought Live for DJing and mashup purposes, but I'm either too lazy or busy to figure it out properly (... ok, I'm too lazy). I mostly use it for time stretching. I'm too familiar with Logic now to use anything else for composition. How about turntables? Are you planning on incorporating those? Everybody loves to watch a dude on the ones and twos!
So what is you new piano VST called? Is it an acoustic piano or electric piano plugin? Something I think you might dig, especially for your ambient tunes, is Gforce's Virtual String Machine (<a href="http://www.gforcesoftware.com/ins_vsm.php">http://www.gforcesoftware.com/ins_vsm .php</a>). I use two or three of their plugins in almost every song I do! (in the Dewy Embers remix I used the Oddity, the Minimonsta twice, and the VSM). The M-Tron is awesome for ambience, too. Alright. Commercial done. Sorry!... but they are F-ing awesome. Best plugin purchases I ever made!

I'm looking forward to the new tune! Keep up the good work, and I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing a full DJ set from you. Keep me posted!

I'm sure the Chemical Love remix will be great. It's awesome that you're doing these mixes, too, because I'm not very good at making pulsing dance music, but I like the idea of playing my own songs at a club. If you need any other files from songs, just ask me. It might take me a while to find the Newport mix project file... I'm not sure where it is.
To answer your questions: I use Ableton for DJ sets and songs. I've become pretty liberal with what programs I use to make songs. Some songs are all FL Studio, some are all Ableton, a lot are a combination of both. I just ordered a nice mixer to help me with my mp3 DJing. I haven't even played a club yet, but I've definitely been practicing and preparing. I'm itching to get out there and play.
My new VST is EDIROL Super Quartet. It's sounding really nice. I got it in a pack of VSTs recently. I have a ton of samples and synths on this computer, but things were starting to become stale, so I've been hunting down new stuff.
We may have to collab on a tune one of these days. You could be the Darren Emerson to my Rick Smith... well, actually Emerson is out of the band. Make it Darren Price then, lol.
